AAP Oral Health Preceptorship Program

The AAP Oral Health Preceptorship program was initiated to provide pediatricians interested in implementing oral health assessments in their practice with mentorship support. The purpose of the award is to provide individualized one-on-one training in performing oral health risk assessments, maternal/caretaker oral assessment interviews, and to learn to apply
fluoride varnishes.

2010 Recipients
We are pleased to announce the 2010 recipients of the Oral Health Risk Assessment Preceptorship Awards funded by the American Dental Association Foundation. The following sites have been funded to receive mentorship support in establishing oral health risk assessments in their practice and community. The purpose of the award is to provide one-on-one training in performing oral health risk assessments, maternal/caretaker oral assessment interviews, and to learn to apply fluoride varnish.

The 2004 - 2010 preceptorship awards were supported in part by Grant No. U93 MC 00184 from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (Title V, Social Security Act), Health Resources and Services Administration, Department of Health and Human Services and the American Dental Association Foundation. In line with the rules of a 501c3 organization, recipients of the preceptorship awards do not engage in lobbying or to support or oppose any policy decision or any political candidate at any level of government.
