Brenda
Phillips,
Experiences in the After-school Hours
Brenda Phillips, MA, is a presidential fellow and
doctoral candidate in Human Development at Boston University. She
trained as a child psychotherapist at Saint Michael’s College
in Vermont and obtained a master’s degree in clinical psychology.
Ms. Phillips has also been a student research fellow at the Social
Science Research Center at Saint Michael’s, studying moral
development in young children. She is currently conducting research
with Dr. Deborah Belle on issues of economic inequality. Brenda
is particularly interested in forces of social oppression and how
they impact children’s socioemotional development.
