Mark L. Wolraich,
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Mark L. Wolraich, MD, is the CMRI/Shaun Walters Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the director of the University of Oklahoma Child Study Center. Dr. Wolraich earned his medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical Center. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a pediatric fellowship in care of the handicapped child at the Oregon Health & Sciences University Child Development and Rehabilitation Center. He has chaired or participated in a number of national activities including the development of the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and a national collaborative that trained primary care clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD sponsored by the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality. He is a past president of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. He has received many financial awards to conduct pediatric studies and has authored or coauthored more than 150 journal articles, abstracts, book chapters, and monographs.
