For whom is About
CHILDREN created?
About CHILDREN is written for those who care for or about
children. Written in a professional but easily understandable style,
it captures 46 different aspects of life for children in the United
States and utilizes vivid maps and figures to depict these aspects
graphically. About CHILDREN is a great resource for
parents, policy makers, pediatricians, child advocates, and many
others.
Who developed About CHILDREN?
About CHILDREN is a voint venture of the Social Science Research
Center at Mississippi State University and the Center for Child
Health Research of the AAP at the University of Rochester, and is
funded by grants from The
Bower Foundation and The
Phil Hardin Foundation. The senior editors of the project are
Arthur G. Cosby, PhD; Michael Greenberg, MD; Linda Hill Southward,
PhD, and Michael Weitzman, MD. About CHILDREN was written by approximately
