Currently, Rhode Island's Medicare reimbursement for fluoride varnish varies among plans providing RIte Care.
It is currently reimbursed 2 to 3 times per year for those ages 6 months to 4 years and for any children at risk. Payment ranges from $13-20, and oral health examinations are not paid separately from the physical. No training is required for payment but will be encouraged by the chapter.
Chapter Activities A chapter member attended the Chapter Advocate Training on Oral Health and will spearhead the implementation of this initiative in our state.
Oral health is one of the chapter's future projects.
