Portraits are based on data from the National Survey of Children's Health; US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau.

Texas Dental Association
The Texas Dental Association (TDA) was chartered in 1871 and currently has more than 7700 members. It is comprised of 26 component dental societies grouped into 4 divisions across the state of Texas. Access to its Web site is through either a public or professional link where information about oral health as it relates to both groups is provided.
 
Texas Department of Health: Oral Health
This Web site provides information and resources of interest related to oral health in an effort to improve the oral health of Texans and to prevent dental disease through education, prevention services, and emergency dental treatment services.

University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
Site provides information about the Texas Oral Health Summit: Advocacy, Equity and Access, held on September 9-10, 2004. The Summit was part of the Activating a Collaborative Oral Health Plan in Texas Project, supported by Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration, USDHHS through the State Oral Health Collaborative Systems Grant Program.
