Part of the Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, this site provides a searchable database on a wide range of resources on cultural and linguistic competence. This Web site also provides tools and processes for self-assessment in the field of Cultural Competence.

HRSA Cultural Competence Resource for Health Care Providers

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources, Health Resources and Service Administration provides several resources for improving cultural and linguistic competency, including assessment tools and links to cultural and language-specific resources.

Community Toolbox Cultural Competency Toolkit

This toolkit provides a framework and support for assessing and enhancing cultural competence in you, your organization, group or community.

Healthy Care for Healthy Kids Toolkit- Cultural Competency Tools (http://www.nichq.org/NICHQ/Topics/PreventiveCare/Obesity/Tools/Culturalcompetency)
NICHQ, the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality, and the teams from NICHQ’s Learning Collaborative Healthy Care for Healthy Kids, a Collaborative to Prevent, Identify and Manage Childhood Overweight, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield MA, have developed a toolkit to assist clinicians in providing quality care for children who are at risk for overweight, or overweight. This section of the toolkit contains information of providing culturally appropriate care in your practice setting.
