Grant Writing & Proposal Development

A Pediatrician's Guide to Proposal Writing (www.aap.org/commpeds/resources/ProposalWriting.pdf)
This guide is designed primarily to assist AAP members and other child health advocates in seeking funding from foundations and corporations. The guide also provides a brief overview of government funding. The information should serve as a starting point to help you identify appropriate funding sources, guide you through the solicitation process, and assist you in writing an effective proposal. Also included are samples of cover letters, proposals, budgets, checklists, and other resources.

Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program Supplemental Materials (http://www.aap.org/commpeds/htpcp/supplemental.html)
This booklet is designed to assist applicants in developing a Healthy Tomorrows grant proposal. The HTPCP Supplemental Materials provides extra assistance with creating an advisory board, developing an evaluation plan, and writing a project budget. Although this information is tailored for Healthy Tomorrows applicants, others may also find these materials useful for developing their community-based project proposal.
