Teleconference Information
This teleconference was for Healthy Tomorrows and CATCH grantees
and others interested in community-based initiatives. The teleconference
focused on project sustainability and seeking additional funding
for projects.
Teleconference objectives
At the completion of the call, the listener will be able to:
1. Identify resources to search for funding.
2. Describe the process of framing an existing project to leverage
additional funding.
3. Learn how to engage community partners.
The 60-minute call featured 3 short presentations from fundraising
experts, followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers.
Speaker Information
Marion Eisenberg is Associate Director of Volunteers
in Health Care (VIH). She directs VIH's oral health program
area, provides technical assistance to grantees, and delivers
presentations on oral health, grant writing, and volunteerism
at national forums.
Susan Kerr is president of Illinois Children's
Healthcare Foundation, Illinois' only foundation dedicated solely
to improving the health of that state's children. Prior to this
position, Ms Kerr was the Director of Ronald McDonald House
Charities at McDonald's Corporation where she led the charity's
global grantmaking efforts.
Gayle Goldin is the Director of Community Partnerships
for Volunteers in Health Care (VIH), a national resource center
for volunteer-inclusive health care programs that provide care
to the uninsured. As the Director of Community Partnerships,
Ms. Goldin oversees VIH's technical assistance services, including
hosting VIH's teleworkshop series, facilitating meetings, providing
consulting services, and reviewing grant applications.
