Web-Based Teleconference

Do you want to design an effective questionnaire to evaluate
your program? Do you want to learn "dos" and "don'ts"
for asking survey questions? This teleconference for Healthy Tomorrows
and CATCH grantees and others interested implementing community-based
initiatives can help you. This teleconference provided suggestions
on how to design a quality questionnaire for your target population
and discuss guidelines for planning and implementing questionnaires.
This teleconference did not focus on research design or sampling
methods. This Web-based teleconference features 2 presentations
from survey experts, followed by a question and answer period.
About your speakers
Holly Ruch-Ross, ScD, is an
evaluation consultant for the Healthy Tomorrows and CATCH programs
at the American Academy of Pediatrics. Ms Ruch-Ross works with AAP
staff to assist Healthy Tomorrows projects in modifying and enhancing
the project's evaluation plan. Ms Ruch-Ross also works with Children's
Memorial Medical Center in Chicago, Proviso Township Schools, the
Illinois Violence Prevention Authority, and the Chicago Public Schools
in project evaluation.
Diane O'Rourke, PhD, is an
independent consultant. She has over 30 years of professional
experience from the University of Illinois Survey Research Laboratory,
where she served as a project coordinator, coordinator of research
of programs, managing editor and assistant director for survey
operations.
