Outreach & Enrollment Tools

Pediatricians function in a unique role as a trusted provider that enables them to help families with uninsured children connect with SCHIP and Medicaid to improve their access to care. Their reputation as well as their connection with families at the point of care makes pediatricians key to improving outreach and enrollment.

The 14 partnership initiatives through Reaching Children: Building Systems of Care provided distinct examples of ways pediatricians can successfully reach families without insurance for their children. They developed a number of materials to help inform both families and health care professionals of SCHIP and Medicaid program components and how to reach out to families for enrollment assistance.

The following tools are adapted for general use from ones developed by the partnership initiatives. They may be downloaded and modified to fit your specific program.
