postcard01

postcard

In September 2006, HFCA partners agreed thatwithin each of our organizations, across disciplines and among politicians, policymakers, and the public, that we would adopt a common strategy of:

  • Creating awareness
  • Improving knowledge
  • Building specific skills

HFCA partners agreed to:

  • Teach each other what is necessary to work collaboratively to provide the best health care for children and teens in foster care
  • Attend one another’s meetings
  • Write for one another’s newsletters and make newsletters open to one another’s work
  • Share what is learned with the broader membership of each organization
  • Develop and promote a joint political agenda at the national, state, and local levels
  • Develop and promote a joint public awareness campaign to nurture grass-roots momentum for addressing the health needs of children and teens in foster care
  • Collaborate on fund-raising efforts
