Healthy Tomorrows

Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program is a collaborative grant program of the Federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau and the American Academy of Pediatrics The goal of the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program (HTPCP) is to improve the health status of mothers, infants, children, and adolescents by increasing their access to health services at the local level by providing guidance and funding for community-based initiatives. Healthy Tomorrows projects target low-income populations and address four key areas: access to health care, community-based health care, preventive health care, and service coordination.

AAP Chapters

AAP Chapters are organized groups of pediatricians and other health care professionals working to achieve AAP goals in their communities. There are 59 chapters in the United States and 7 chapters in Canada. The US chapters generally are drawn along state lines, but two states with large populations (New York and California) constitute more than one chapter. In addition, two chapters serve pediatricians in the uniformed services (east and west, divided by the Mississippi River) and Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia are also separate chapters.

These grants were made possible through donations to the AAP Friends of Children Fund.

State Legislation Searchable Database the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity at CDC is pleased to announce the launch of the state legislation searchable database. The database allows users to search for state bills from 2001 to present related to nutrition and/or physical activity. Users are asked to pick either nutrition or physical activity on the first page or they may select the either option for the whole database. Users can use search fields, enter keywords, or search the entire database. There are no required search fields, so if the user simply hits "search" they will be able to access all bills in that subject area. This database is available to the general public and no registration or password is required. This database was created after requests from state partners and is the first public access database of its kind. It can also be accessed on the DNPA home page, Nutrition home, Physical Activity Home and 5 A Day Coordinators sections.

Henry Kaiser Family Foundation State Health Facts is a project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and is designed to provide free, up-to-date, and easy-to-use health data on all 50 states.
