Welcome to the American Academy of Pediatrics Online Learning in Otitis Media. These online case studies and the pneumatic otoscopy course are part of the AAP Otitis Media with Effusion Toolkit. AAP is developing the toolkit to help physicians diagnose and manage OME - the most common diagnosis for physician office visits by children under age 15. In addition to the online learning experience, the OME toolkit will contain a variety of physician resources based on the clinical practice guideline on OME. The kit will also contain patient education materials that physicians can use to explain the clinical condition and treatment options to parents. The tools in the toolkit will include:
