PROS Safety Check Study
|
The Safety Check study will evaluate the effectiveness of brief patient screening
and counseling procedures that are easy to incorporate into a routine check-up
in a busy primary care office. Practices will be randomly assigned to one
of two study groups. One group will receive training and tested educational
materials to incorporate violence prevention into standard practice, and the
other will receive educational materials on encouraging reading aloud, another
topic important to the provisions of services for healthy child development.
