PROS LAND Study STUDY UPDATE

Practice recruitment and patient enrollment for the study is closed. A total of 515 practitioners in 130 PROS practices volunteered to take part. Of these, 112 practices have completed the LAND study and enrolled 4,300 mother/infant pairs! A diverse group of mothers and infants from a wide range of racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds have been enrolled.

The final report was submitted to the federal funder, Health Resources and Services Administration Maternal and Child Health Bureau, in the fall of 2002. (The study is also funded by the AAP Friends of Children Fund.) Next steps include final data analysis and development of practice-specific data feedback reports and manuscript writing.
