Secondary Sexual Characteristics in Boys (SSCIB)

Study Update

734 PROS practices have received recruitment materials.

233 practitioners in 152 practices are actively participating.

108 practitioners have completed data collection.

4,700 data collection forms have been returned.

Data collection will end 12/31/09.

Still a critical challenge is the recruitment of minority boys. To address this, the AAP team is            collaborating with CORNET (the American Pediatric Association continuity clinic research            network) and the practice-based research network of the National Medical Association             (NMA) - NMAPedsNet, both of which have a large population of minority boys.
