PROS Translating Immunization Research Into Practice Intervention Study (TIRIP)
PROTOCOL OVERVIEW

Protocol Overview:

Each provider collected immunization data from the charts of 30 children ages 8-15 months who presented for treatment during the data collection period.
Data collection was conducted using a brief and previously validated "quick-count" method. This method collects no protected health information.
A practitioner-specific immunization rate was calculated for each participant based upon the quick-count data.
Practitioners who qualified for the main study, based upon their assessed immunization rate, were assigned to one of two year-long intervention arms targeting the improvement of immunization rates.
After the intervention period, a quick-count immunization data collection will be repeated for the practitioners who complete the study.

Practice Incentives:

Practitioners participating in the initial data collection received a report of their practice immunization rate. In addition, all practitioners received information and materials that may help them to improve their delivery of immunizations.
