OVERVIEW

The Quality Improvement Innovation Network (QuIIN) is a program at the AAP that involves a network of practicing pediatricians and their staff teams who use quality improvement methods to test tools, interventions, and strategies in order to improve healthcare and outcomes for children and their families. It serves as a practical working lab for pediatricians to test how improvements can be implemented in everyday pediatric practice, while sharing strategies and learning from colleagues who are members of the QuIIN.

QuIIN Member Benefits:

  • Participate in improvement activities with like-minded colleagues
  • Positively impact the pediatric profession while improving care for children and families
  • Participate in learning opportunities such as conference calls and email lists that highlight innovative practice strategies and improvement methods. The moderated e-mail list is a requirement for physician members in order to inform you of changes, updates, or new activities within the Network
  • Participate in QuIIN Quality Improvement CME Conference Call Series
  • Obtain (and provide) ongoing feedback on innovations
  • Have access to tools as they are developed by the Network
  • Be part of the Network’s Recognition Program

QuIIN ACTIVITIES

Improvement Projects
The QuIIN includes a variety of improvement projects that allow Network members to be involved at a level of participation that best suits each clinician's interests and schedule. Opportunities vary from individual involvement in reviewing tools for a single project to participating with a staff team in an improvement learning collaborative over a period of time.
