The Safer Health Care for Kids program is designed for physicians, allied health professionals, administrators, parents, and caregivers, who share a commitment to ensuring a safe health care environment for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Goals of Website
This website is designed to be a comprehensive Web-based resource center for pediatric safety information and strategies. Its objectives include:

• Reach a wide audience of individuals involved in providing health care to children.
• Raise awareness among clinicians and parents/caregivers about the prevalence of medical errors in pediatric care and the availability of information/tools to prevent such errors.
• Provide information/tools designed to prevent medical errors in pediatric health care settings.
• Engender dialogue among clinicians and parents/caregivers to exchange information, ideas, and best practices on providing safe health care for children.
• Promote improvement in the safety of pediatric care by encouraging clinicians to make changes in their health care settings and by mobilizing parents/caregivers to be active participants in their childrenâ??s health care.
