Physician Re-entry into Practice

AAP offers resources on physician re-entry into practice.

Leaving and re-entering the workforce are important issues for physicians in all career stages, particularly women physicians. As part of an ongoing study, the American Academy of Pediatrics Division of Graduate Medical Education & Pediatric Workforce has developed a suite of resources on physician re-entry into the workforce. These resources include a PowerPoint presentation, a recommended reading list, and survey results of physicians in all specialties. The purpose of the survey was to learn the reasons physicians re-enter the workforce after an extended period of time away from practice. To access the re-entry resources, please visit http://www.aap.org/gme.
