Improving
Childhood Asthma Outcomes in the United States: A Blueprint
for Policy Action
Effective primary care can help children with asthma lead
fully functional lives and prevent costly hospitalization,
yet the human and financial costs of childhood asthma continue
to grow. This report, available through RAND, describes a
set of policy recommendations to promote the development and
maintenance of communities in which children with asthma can
be diagnosed and effectively treated and protected from exposure
to harmful environmental factors.
