Speakers
Bureau FAQ
The
Speakers Bureau is composed of AAP Section on Allergy and
Immunology members with varied expertise who are available
for speaking engagements that address pediatric allergy- and
asthma-related topics. The section created the Speakers Bureau
to further its commitment to ensuring that pediatric-aged
patients receive the highest quality of care in allergy, asthma,
and immunology.
The following are frequently asked questions about the Speakers
Bureau.
Q.
How can I benefit from the Section on Allergy and Immunology
Speakers Bureau?
A.
Members of the section are board-certified pediatricians and
board-certified allergist-immunologists. By joining the Speakers
Bureau, you are helping to promote your field of expertise
while also giving your time to a worthy cause—continuing
education about asthma- and allergy-related topics.
Q.
Who can request a speaker, and what types of audiences are
they willing to speak to?
A.
Any organization/entity can request a speaker(s).
Each member of the speakers bureau has experience speaking
to a variety of audiences, from the general public to primary
care physicians and specialists to all types of local, regional,
and national programs.
Q.
How do I request a speaker?
A.
You must complete the online Speaker
Request Form and agree to the Disclaimer
to receive information about potential speakers. Please
note, the Section on Allergy and Immunology does not make
arrangements for honorarium, travel, or housing accommodations
but leaves that up to the sponsoring organization/entity.
Speakers Bureau members are not official AAP representatives.
If you have a specific program for which you would like an
official AAP representative present or want to request AAP
support, please contact the Section
on Allergy and Immunology.
