Arthur Kohrman, MD, FAAP |
Dr Kohrman has contributed extensively to the field of pediatric ethics, and has served both asAAP Committee on Bioethics chairperson and as the AAP and University of Chicago Institutional Review Board chairperson. He has written and lectured extensively about ethical
issues in children with chronic health conditions, particularly those who are technologically
dependent. He is a Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Pediatrics and Preventive
Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
In addition, he currently
serves on the Board of Directors of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, and was the founding
president of Children's Hospice International. Previously, he was an associate dean of
Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, professor and associate chair of
pediatrics at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and president of La
Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
