in Zacapa, Guatemala. The "hospitalito" was founded with
the help of two of professors at U Texas Children's at Houston. It
is really an outpatient clinic. One resident saw between 20 and 40
patients a day. Dr. O'Callahan went with two ther residents and there
was also a Guatemalan Pediatrics Resident and the hospital's staff
physician. Most of what we saw were URIs and AGE, but there were also
patients with parasites, malnutrition and other conditions. There
is housing for the residents on the hospital grounds. Contact Elizabeth

- Comprehensive
Rural Health Project, Jamkhed: rural Maharashtra in India. This project
was started in the early '70s by Drs Raj and Mabelle Arole, now very
well known in international public health circles as the project (Comprehensive
facility and carry out the programs (including medical, outreach health
education, agricultural, child welfare, among work in public health.
The residents/sutdents work under the supervision of Dr Arole ro his
daughter. Dr Shobha Arole, now curretnly the director of the Project
in Jamkhed. This program does not focus on pediatrics but involves
a comprehensive approach to health care for all members of the family.
