Goal 1: Rapid response by AAP members in their local communities

Objective 1.1: AAP members have the knowledge and tools to more effectively respond to infectious disease items in the news.

Objective 1.2: Position SOID website as the one of choice for AAP members on infectious disease issues.

Goal 2: Increase Section membership

Objective 2.1: Obtain resident/young physician representation at SOID executive committee meetings.

Objective 2.2: Plan and conduct a campaign to infectious disease fellows and fellowship program directors.

Goal 3: Expand infectious disease educational opportunities

Objective 3.1: Develop and offer CME accredited learning modules via the SOID website.

Objective 3.2: Publish the "Best of Pediatrics" supplement.

Goal 4: Increase section member value

Objective 4.1: Increase activity on SOID listserv.

Objective 4.2: Develop and disseminate information on coding for infectious disease.
