Visiting Professorship

The American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Neurology wishes to announce the 2008-2009 Section on Neurology Visiting Professorship. The intent of the visiting professorship is to bring an expert in pediatric neurology to pediatric residency programs to enhance education about neurologic disease.

Interested institutions that possess a pediatric residency program, particularly those without access to an expert in pediatric neurology, are encouraged to apply by completing the enclosed application. It is anticipated that the visiting professor would spend two days at the host institution conducting lectures, seminars, or rounds with pediatric residents, medical students, and faculty.

One visiting professorship will be awarded annually. The Section on Neurology will oversee the program and provide an honorarium of $1,500, along with reimbursement for travel, lodging, and meal expenses for two days.

THE 2007 DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS HAS NOW PASSED. APPLICATIONS FOR 2008-2009 WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL JUNE 6, 2008.
