Section On Orthopaedics

Message from the Chair

The AAP Section on Orthopaedics
was founded in 1976. Our mission
is to improve the health care of in-
fants, children, and adolescents by
providing educational forums for
the discussion of problems and
treatments related to orthopaedics
in children.

Welcome to the AAP Section on Orthopaedics' new and improved website!

Our website features helpful links for pediatric orthopaedic surgeons, pediatricians, primary care
physicians, residents, medical students, and parents. Active membership in the Section is rewarding
both personally and professionally. I encourage all pediatric orthopaedic surgeons to join us. Please
click on the “Intro/Membership” link on our website for more details. OurIn addition, we sponsor
research awards for resident/fellow and student presentations at our annual meeting. Please click on
the “Awards” link on our website for more details.
