Children's Hospital in New Orleans sponsors through its Audrey Hepburn Children At Risk Evaluation Center and the LSU School of Medicine a three-year Pediatric Forensic Medicine fellowship. Fellows are educated and provided opportunities to be experts in the field with the goal of being future leaders and educators in this field. Emphasis is made on clinical knowledge, medical pedagogy, research skills, business skills and child advocacy in a multi-disciplinary setting. Expertise in the scientific medical evaluation of child maltreatment is achieved through 2 years of clinical experience and 1 year of research. Applicants must be board eligible or certified in pediatrics.
