The Center for Child and Family Advocacy (CCFA) is a partnership between Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence. A multidisciplinary staff of more than 120 professionals have partnered to work together to address the complex issue of family violence, providing a service delivery spanning the full spectrum from assessment and investigation, trauma-focused treatment, and prevention including outreach, education and evidence-based models of home visitation.

Evaluation and management of all types of child maltreatment are provided in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings. Forensic interviews, colposcope guided medical evaluations, mental health assessment and treatment are the key components to the clinical services provided in the Child Assessment Center and Family Support Program - the trauma-focused treatment program. An active inpatient consultation service provides support to children from a broad region of the state.

CCFA staff are members of the Department of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, and provide education to medical and nursing students, residents, fellows, faculty, and community agencies. The child abuse pediatrics fellowship training program provides further subspecialty training in a vibrant academic setting. All faculty are involved in research activities with several projects supported by intramural as well as extramural, federally funded grants.
