This program provides medical services for children when abuse or neglect is suspected or confirmed. The program operates an outpatient evaluation clinic where children can receive forensic interviews, comprehensive health assessments, and photo/videocolposcopy. Expert consultation to inpatient and emergency services at Hasbro Children's Hospital is provided 24 hours per day.

The service evaluates and manages cases of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, medical neglect, failure to thrive, and factitious illness (Munchausen syndrome by proxy). Physicians provide expert witness testimony and medical/legal case evaluations. An active fellowship training program for pediatricians is part of the programs mission.
