The West Virginia
University Charleston Division Department of Pediatrics, in conjunction
with Women and Children's Hospital, conducts a twice weekly sexual
abuse clinic staffed by a social worker, pediatric resident and teaching
pediatrician. Reports from this team are sent to the referring DHS
worker, law enforcement, doctor, or referring attorney, and follow-up
counseling, court action or medical follow-up is arranged.
