- Peace Corps
- Global Volunteers- volunteer worldwide on development projects identified and managed by local people. Examples of work include teaching english, care for the disabled or orphaned children, building and repairing homes and community facilities, improving basic health services. - Africa Health Placements - Africa Health Placements (AHP) is non-profit project recruiting doctors to work in South Africa's rural hospitals. Experience will include broad-based clinical practice, maternal and child health, infectious diseases and emergency care. AHP places doctors at suitable and appropriate medical facilities, taking into account the doctor's skills and interests, and the rural health needs of South Africa. Assignments are available for 12 months or less. Current USA medical licensure required.
