The Academy has historically been recognized as being the advocate for optimal healthcare for children. SOAPM was formed, and continues to serve, as one of the only places in the Academy where we act as advocates for pediatricians. To survive in today's healthcare market, pediatricians need skills in practice management. Our proposals and programs have been, and will continue to be, approved by the Academy because our membership has been at the cutting edge of new information.
