2005 Local Heroes Award Recipient
Robert Anderson, MD, FAAP
Robert F. Anderson, MD, FAAP is a primary care pediatrician
associated with Genesis Health Group, Bettendorf, Iowa. He was
president of the Iowa Chapter of the AAP from 1999-2001 and
was District VI representative to the Chapter Forum Management
Committee from 2001 to 2004. He currently is editor of the Iowa
Chapter Newsletter, The Heartland Pediatrician. Dr. Anderson
is President of the Scott County Medical Society, a consultant
to the Child Health Specialty Clinic, a member of the Board
of the Quad City Health Initiative, and a member of the Scott
County School Health Initiative Board. He received the 1999
Iowa Medical Society Award of Merit for advocating for SCHIP
legislation and was honored with the 2004 Friend of Iowa's Children
Award from Iowa's Title V program.
