2006 Calvin C.J. Sia Award Recipient
William Carl Cooley, MD, FAAP
The 1st Calvin C. J. Sia Community Pediatrics Medical Home
Leadership & Advocacy was presented on Sunday, October 8th
to William Carl Cooley, MD, FAAP at the COCP's annual awards
luncheon.
Dr Cooley serves as the medical director of the Crotched Mountain
Foundation and the Crotched Mountain Specialty Hospital in Greenfield
, NH, where he is also co-director of the Center for Medical
Home Improvement. Dr Cooley has devoted over 10 years to the
redesign of primary care delivery systems for children and youth
with special health care needs in keeping with the medical home
model. He is co-author of Preventive Health Care for Children
with Genetic Conditions: Proving a Primary Care Medical Home.
Dr Cooley and his family live in Concord, NH; he is the
father of three children including a young adult with Down Syndrome.
