2007 Local Heroes Award Recipient
Terence Joiner, MD, FAAP
Terence Joiner, MD, FAAP is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School. He is in the division of general pediatrics and his primary interests are in treating children with asthma, obesity, learning problems, and attention deficit disorder. He is also a strong advocate of preventive medicine and community health.
Dr. Joiner attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1978. He then attended St. Louis University School of Medicine, graduating in 1982, and he received a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from the Michigan School of Public Health in 1991.
