2008 Job Lewis Smith Award Recipient
Paula Duncan, MD, FAAP
The 2008 Job Lewis Smith Award was presented to Paula Duncan, MD, FAAP on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the COCP's annual awards
luncheon.
Dr Duncan is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine, Medical Director for AHEC, and the Youth Project Director for the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP). Her current research focuses on practice based primary care improvement strategies in three areas: preventive services, chronic care and the use of strength based approaches. Dr. Duncan is the chair of the AAP Bright Futures Implementation Advisory Committee and a co-editor of the 3rd edition of Bright Futures Guidelines for Preventive Services. She also serves on the AAP Oral Health Workgroup, the AAP Mental Health Task Force and the AAP PIPPAH adolescent project advisory committee.
