2008 Local Heroes Award Recipient
M. Edward Ivancic, MD, FAAP
M. Edward Ivancic, MD, FAAP received his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, medical degree from St, Louis University, and residency from training at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. He has been in private practice in Tupelo, Mississippi since 1980. Dr. Ivancic started CATCH Kids in 1998 to provide free medical and dental care to children with barriers to care. Other activities and awards include past chapter vice-president, state EDHI task force, executive board for Girls Scouts of Northeast Mississippi, “For God and Youth Award,” 2006 Children’s Advocate of the Year award for North Mississippi. Dr. Ivancic has been happily married for 31 years and proud of his 5 children.
