Job Lewis Smith Award

Named for Job Lewis Smith, MD, one of the founding fathers of the American Pediatric Society and chief pioneer of American pediatrics, the Council on Community Pediatrics' Job Lewis Smith Award recognizes outstanding service in community pediatrics.

The criteria for the award is as follows:

• The award will be made for outstanding community service to children through teaching, public service, and innovations in patterns of patient care.
• The award will be made to residents of the US and Canada.
• The award will be made to one individual who is a member of the Academy.
• The award is open to all, regardless of age.
