The Council on Community Pediatrics (COCP) develops policy
statements and technical reports on community pediatrics issues.
The COCP also publishes a bi-annual newsletter for Council members.
Annual Report & Promotional Materials
The COCP Executive Committee publishes an "Annual Report to the COCP Membership" highlighting projects and successes of the COCP over the past fiscal year.
The COCP has put together new promotional materials about the Council and its work. Please feel free to use these to promote the work of the Council with your collegaues.

Pediatric Education in Community and Office Settings (Starter Kit for Community Preceptors)
Starter Kit for Community Preceptors is offered to the practicing pediatrician who wants to provide a hands-on experience in an office setting for a medical student or resident. The Starter Kit provides practical tips, information, resources, and activities for pediatricians, residency program directors, and clerkship directors to use at every stage of community-based training for students and residents. The tool includes information on developing your office-based teaching program, your academic portfolio, and a variety of topical resources for quick reference. Resources for Community Pediatricians is a bi-weekly list
serv message for Council on Community Pediatrics members. The
message contains articles, resources, websites, tools, conferences,
etc. that may be useful to pediatricians practicing Community
Pediatrics.
Newsletter
The Council on Community Pediatrics' biannual newsletter
is available to Council members. The most recent editions of
the newsletter can be found by signing into the
AAP Member Center and visiting the COCP main webpage. At the bottom of the page there is a link to the newsletter in the grey AAP Member Center Content box.

How to Join:
If you are already a member of the AAP and would like to become
a COCP member, join online by:
1. Go to http://www.aap.org/moc/indexEntry.cfm and login with your AAP ID and password.
2. Click on "Member Community".
3. Click on "Join a Section or Council" under Section, Council & Committee
Information.
4. Choose "Council on Community Pediatrics", answer a few questions, and click "Submit".
