Bar-Or Award

Oded Bar-Or, MD served as a consultant to the Countil on Sports Medicine and Fitness and was a world-renowned researcher in the field of pediatric exercise physiology. The Council on Sports Medicine created this award in his honor to acknowledge the contributions he has made to pediatric sports medicine research and his commitment to children and the Academy.

The Oded Bar-Or award is a $500.00 honorarium presented annually at the conclusion of the Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness’ Program at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition. It is in recognition of the best pediatric sports medicine or healthy active living presentation given at the Council's abstract session. One award will be given annually and funded out of non-core Council funding.
