Join the Section on Uniformed Services:
The Section on Uniformed Services welcomes the following member types: Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Corresponding Fellows, Resident Members, Post Residency Training Members and Candidate Members of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Members must be in the uniformed services regardless of their global assignments; civilian consultants appointed by the uniformed services Surgeons General; civilians whose primary practice (50%) is with uniformed services beneficiaries, and retired or veteran uniformed service members.
Affiliate membership is open to certified advanced practice nurses, dentists, and physicians (MD, DO) who provide substantial (at least 50%) care to children and have an interest in Uniformed Services pediatrics. Each affiliate member requires one sponsoring letter from a full section member.
To join the section, please complete the Section/Council membership application.
Interested AAP members also can apply online via the Member Center:
1. Go to Member Center and login with your AAP ID and password.
2. Click on “Member Community”.
3. Click on “Join a Section or Council” under Section, Council, & Committee Info
4. Choose the Section(s) or Council(s) you are interested in, answer a few questions and click “Submit”.
