Welcome...
On behalf of the Executive Committee Members of the AAP Section on Uniformed Services, thank you for visiting our homepage.
We look forward to representing your interests and supporting the educational needs of the civilian and uniformed physicians who care for our families. As always, the highlight of any year is the Uniformed Services Pediatric Seminar. This year’s theme is “Pediatrics in Family-Centered Care” and will be hosted by our colleagues at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Cindy Schultz and her planning group have put together an outstanding program that will surely provide a great venue for Continuing Medical Education and networking opportunities. Please see the link on this page for registration information.
This web page provides many other links that may be of value to you. These include multiple resources to help you and your families deal with the impact of deployment on the lives of service members and their families. Additionally, the latest version of the Section Newsletter can be located on this page. This is a great way to find out information about USPS, Chapter updates and news from your Consultants. We have a new editor of the newsletter, COL Richard Kynion. Any ideas or information for the newsletter can be submitted to him via e-mail.
Finally, we are always looking for new members to the Section. Please note the link below to join. Membership is open to all AAP members in good standing. Membership is the first step to playing an active role in our unique Section in the Academy. We are always looking for motivated people to help support the educational needs of military pediatric providers.
Michael Rajnik, Lt Col, USAF, MC MD, FAAP
