Can a resident join other sections in the AAP?
Yes. Of the 51 AAP Sections, there are several Sections that now allow AAP Residents to join. Once you have been approved as an AAP Resident, you can apply for membership in a Section(s) by downloading the AAP Section/Section Affiliate Information and Application from the AAP web site. Another option is to log on to the Member Center and complete our new Online Section Form found under "Member Services." How do I access the Member Center?
You must be a member in good standing to log on to the Member Center. http://www.aap.org/moc. If you are logging on for the first time, use your 6-digit AAP Member ID and your password will be the first twelve characters of your last name. (You will be prompted to assign yourself a new password after your initial login.) If you do not know your 6-digit ID number, please contact us at idrequest@aap.org.
