PREP ADVISORY GROUP

The PREP Advisory Group's major function is to provide oversight and direction for the AAP Pediatrics Review and Education Program (PREP).

The roles and responsibilities of the PREP Advisory Group are:

  1. to meet annually and report to the Advisory Council to the Board on Education (ACBOE) on the PREP program;
  2. to review the status of the various components of PREP, and Pediatric UPDATE audiocassette tape program;
  3. to make recommendations regarding medical content, curriculum changes or enhancements, the relationship of PREP to other AAP educational programs, evaluation procedures, and cooperative efforts with the American Board of Pediatrics;
  4. to consider additional programs or products related to PREP through which the Academy might meet the continuing education needs of its members.
