Provider Education

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) houses Pedialink, a lifelong e-learning center providing personalized education for health professionals.  As part of this project to increase awareness on Adolescent Sexual Health a Pedialink Course will be available in the Fall of 2017.

The AAP also offers pediatricians a review and education program, the Self-Assessment Program of PREP® The Curriculum.  Through this program, pediatricians are able to assess where their pediatric knowledge is strongest and where they may need to grow.  This program makes it easy to see the knowledge gaps and give the tools needed to close these gaps.

An HPV Champion Toolkit has been created by the AAP to combine the best resources available for the pediatrician to increase the number of young people receiving the HPV vaccine.  This toolkit contains: teaching sessions, CME activities, video clips, resources, articles, and success stories. The CDC provides information about HPV and HPV vaccines including ready-to-use tools and resources for clinicians to successfully communicate with parents about HPV vaccination.
