Immigrant children are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population; one in every four children lives in an immigrant family. Children from immigrant families can experience a number of challenges to their health, safety, and well-being, including poverty, lack of health insurance, and language barriers. Immigrant children may also face unique challenges and stressors related to their migration experiences and/separation from family members.
