An increasing number of AAP Chapters report that they are involving youth and families in their work, including some with strong connections to their state family-to-family health information center.
The FPN believes there is tremendous benefit to nurturing such connections. Resources have been developed to support this work:
In June 2017, the FPN was pleased to offer $4,000 grants to five AAP chapters, in an effort to encourage family engagement and partnerships. This grant program is offered with the belief that implementing a more structured mechanism for family engagement, as well as providing some seed money to chapters, would encourage enhanced activity and innovation. A brief overview of the program, along with a description of the 5 awarded programs can be found here.
