Stewardship in Improving Bronchiolitis (SIB) across the continuum of care
The SIB project is currently engaging 35 hospital-based improvement teams consisting of Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine physicians, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and other care team professionals. The thirty-five teams are utilizing quality improvement science to implement current evidence to improve the management of infants with bronchiolitis across the patient care continuum. Participating hospital sites became engaged in September 2015 and their involvement in this ABP MOC Part 4 eligible project will continue through June/July 2016.
Now Piloting Open Access to On-going Value in Inpatient Pediatric (VIP) Network project
We are excited to announce that we are sharing many of the SIB project resources (e.g., measures grid, chart review tool, change package) to support any local hospital teams' efforts in implementing best practice bronchiolitis care across the continuum of care. The resources will be made available on this website until the project's end in summer 2016. Further SIB project report out sharing will occur toward the close of 2016.
SIB Leaders are unable to assist in the implementation of a local project using the tools available here, however, please reach out to Liz Rice-Conboy, MS, Program Manager,
email@example.com, of the Quality Improvement Innovation Networks (QuIIN), a program of the American Academy of Pediatrics if you have difficulty with these resources.
